Overview of flange forged steel ball valves

The forged steel ball valve is rotated around the centerline of the valve body to achieve opening and closing. The sealing element is embedded in the seat of stainless steel valves, and a spring is installed at the end of the metal valve seat. When the sealing surface is worn or burned, it is pushed by the spring to form a metal seal between the valve seat and the ball. It has a unique automatic pressure relief function. When the pressure of the medium in the valve chamber exceeds the pre-tightening force of the spring, the valve seat at the outlet end retracts from the ball, achieving automatic pressure relief effect. After pressure relief, the valve seat automatically resets, which is suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas, and also suitable for harsh working conditions such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene. It has been well applied in various industries.

Structural characteristics of the flange forged steel ball valve

1. Unique valve seat sealing structure
The valve seat adopts a front sealing design structure, which has bidirectional sealing and automatic pressure relief function in the middle chamber. The sealing seat embedded with sealing material is floating and loaded by a spring. When in the closed position, the sealing surface always maintains close contact with the ball, ensuring that the valve can achieve leakage sealing under high and low pressure differences.

2. Automatic pressure relief structure
When there is an abnormal increase in the pressure in the middle chamber, the single sealed ball valve has an automatic pressure relief function, while the double sealed ball valve has an additional pressure relief device on the valve body for pressure relief.

3. Sealed emergency rescue function
The valve design has an auxiliary seat emergency sealing system. Once the sealing surface is damaged, emergency rescue can be achieved by injecting the corresponding sealing agent through the auxiliary sealing system. If necessary, the seat area of valves can also be flushed and lubricated through the auxiliary system.

4. Antistatic device
When operating the valve, electrostatic charges will be generated and accumulate in the ball row due to the friction between the ball seats. To prevent the generation of static sparks, anti-static devices are installed on the valve to export the generated static electricity.

5. Fire resistant structure
Our company adopts a unique structure for the seat of fixed ball valves. When a fire occurs and the non-metallic sealing surface material burns out, the metal ring uses the elastic force of the spring to push the seat and ball to fit and seal, thereby preventing the spread of fire and the outflow of media.

6. Full bore structure and reduced bore structure
To meet users' needs, our company has a full-bore series and a reduced bore series of ball valves. The inner diameter of the full-bore ball valve is consistent with the inner diameter of the pipeline, making it easy to clean. The reduced bore ball valve is lightweight, and its fluid resistance is only a part of the same diameter globe valve, which has a broad prospect.
